Mark Anderson
Mr. Anderson has been an advisor to HBMA for the past 20 years and has been involved in selecting RCM services for the past 35 years for more than 400 healthcare clients. Mr. Anderson is a former CIO for 5 IDNs, and is one of the nation's premier healthcare futurists. Mr. Anderson has spent the last 50+ years focusing on Healthcare – not just technology questions, but strategic, policy, and organizational considerations. He tracks industry trends, conducts member surveys, publishes case studies, assesses best practices, performs benchmarking studies, and evaluates over 90 healthcare software categories that are offered by more than 500 software and RCM vendors.
Besides serving at the CEO of AC Group, Mr. Anderson has served as the CIO for the Taconic IPA, VP of healthcare for META Group, the CIO with West Tennessee Healthcare, the Corporate CIO for the SCNHS, the Corporate Internal Consultant with the Sisters of Providence Hospitals, and the Executive Director for Management Services for Denver Health and Hospitals and Harris County Hospital District. Mr. Anderson received his BS in Business, is completing his MBA in Health Care Administration, and is a Certified Life Fellow with HIMSS
Michael Brozino
Michael Brozino co-founded Maverick Medical AI and currently serves as its Chief Commercial Officer. He spearheads the company's growth and expansion in the U.S. market. Michael has a deep passion for leveraging cutting-edge technologies to solve complex financial and operational challenges in healthcare. He brings to the table over 30 years of executive experience, having worked with Fortune 500 companies, venture-backed firms, and early-stage startups. Notably, he was the President and CEO of SimplifyMD. Additionally, Michael held a significant role at McKesson as a Senior Vice President, during which he championed the expansion of their corporate marketing division. At present, he sits on the advisory boards of several prominent healthcare companies. Michael completed his B.S. in Economics and Bioscience from Penn State University.
Gautam Char
Gautam Char is the president and CEO of WhiteSpace Health. He has a wealth of experience bringing leading edge products to market and rapidly growing companies. Prior to this, he managed tech-enabled RCM and administrative services for healthcare providers. Known for building high performance teams that create valuable products and solutions for customers, Char’s talent for collaboration and his industry knowledge positions WhiteSpace Health for growth and excellence.
Jonathan Gerber
Jonathan Gerber is the Founder and CEO of The MEDCOR Group, Inc., a full service end to end RCM company serving FQHC and RHC (health centers) on a national basis for 20 years. With over 100 in-house employees, MEDCOR processes over 5 Million claims annually.
Jonathan has served in C suite and senior leadership capacities for Adventist Health Medical Group division, Kaiser Permanente, Memorial Care, Paracelsus and is nationally recognized as a leader in Medical group operations.
Mr. Gerber received his BS, BSN from ASU and MBA in Finance from USC.
Rob Gontarek
Rob Gontarek serves as the Senior Vice President of Data Science for Imagine Software and has 34 years of experience working at the intersection of health care and technology. He’s led private-equity backed healthcare and RCM firms including President and COO of Diagnostic Health Corp, President and CEO of Meridian Medical Management, as well as President and CEO of Aideo Technologies. Rob holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. He also holds a Professional Certificate in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning from MIT.
Kunal Jain
Kunal Jain is a Harvard Business School alumni of the class of “Global Healthcare Innovation 2015” and a Graduate of USF with a Master in Entrepreneurship. He is the founder and President of Practiceforces, which is a Healthcare Integration consulting and billing company based out of Clearwater, Florida. He has over 20 years of healthcare practice administration and Revenue cycle management experience. He curated the Tampa chapter of TiE in 2013. His passion for innovation, entrepreneurship, and philanthropy enabled him to create a world-class team around him. He has helped many startups in the United States and India through mentoring, networking, and investments. He currently serves on the Board of HBMA and heads the Innovation Committee as chair.
Desmond Meridian
Introducing Mr. Desmond Meridian, Chief Operating Officer at PBMS Inc. Desmond’s goal is to share his insights on achieving excellence in innovation through Robotic Process Automation (RPA). Desmond has been a member of HBMA for the last 5 years. With a career spanning over two decades in the healthcare industry, including pivotal roles in Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) and payer relations, Desmond is excited to join us today. At PBMS Inc., he serves as the driving force behind our innovation initiatives for process improvement. From being a pioneer in the early days of RPA to orchestrating a transformative shift in reporting analytics, Mr. Meridian leads the charge in revolutionizing their company's operations. His unwavering commitment to innovation has positioned PBMS Inc. as a true competitor in our industry.
Landon Tooke
Landon Tooke is an attorney focusing primarily on health law, privacy, security, compliance, and AI. He is the COO and Chief Compliance Officer of Impact Healthcare Solutions and has over 22 years of experience in hospital administration, sales, compliance, cybersecurity, medical practice management, legal work, and revenue cycle management.
Landon earned a Juris Doctor from Mitchell Hamline School of Law, a Master of Legal Studies in Health Law from the University of Oklahoma College of Law, and a Bachelor of Arts from Louisiana Tech University. Landon earned graduate certificates in Strategic Management from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and Healthcare Organization Operations from Rutgers University. Landon holds six compliance and cybersecurity certifications and a certification in Advanced Legal Research. Landon also completed the Conflict Resolution Theory and Practice Certificate Program through Mitchell Hamline School of Law with specialized training in mediation, arbitration, and negotiation.
Kyle Tucker
Kyle Tucker is the CEO of Dexios Corporation, a radiology-specific RCM company. Kyle was an executive with two other RCM companies before starting Dexios is 2007.
Kyle revamped the Radiology Business Management Association’s A/R Survey in 2020. He created the new metric True Cost of Billing and Credit Balances Over 90 Days as well as working with Quinsite to create a scattergraph model for the presentation of the data in a meaningful manner.
Kyle is the President of the HBMA after serving as Vice President in 2023. In 2020, he was the recipient of the prestigious J. Dennis Mock award.
Kyle lives just south of Richmond, Virginia and is married to LeAnn Tucker who is the Controller of Dexios. He is father to Ginna Tucker who is Dexios’ Executive Vice President. He has one other daughter, Ana, who is a rheumatologist practicing in Charleston. When he is not working on Dexios or the HBMA, Kyle is the President of the Historic Petersburg Foundation which helps preserve the collection of seventeenth and eighteenth century homes and buildings.
Samuel Waissman
Samuel Waissman brings over 23 years of extensive experience in Information Technology. Holding a degree in Computer Science from ITESM and an MBA, Samuel has honed his expertise as a professional in various industries, including High Tech, Services, Manufacturing, Automotive, Insurance, and Healthcare. Additionally, he is certified in ITIL, TOGAF, Six Sigma, CPHIT, PMP, and Business Process Management.
Throughout his impressive career, Samuel has worked with renowned companies such as Microsoft, Delphi, Intermec, and Baker & McKenzie. Notably, he has also served on the Customer Advisory Board for Equallogic, now a part of Dell.
Samuel has consistently excelled in managing Global IT Operations, spearheading organizational transformations, and delivering exceptional IT services while optimizing costs and enhancing overall Customer Satisfaction. As an accomplished Enterprise Architect, he has successfully revamped Business Processes and implemented automation measures, resulting in significant savings and increased productivity. Helped RCM organizations to automate the aggregation of patient and charge data from multiple disparate systems to generate consolidated executive, financial and operational dashboards.
Combining his vast technical background with professional experience in programming languages, database management, hardware, and networking, Samuel offers a comprehensive skill set to meet diverse IT needs.
Recognized for his outstanding achievements, Samuel has received accolades from esteemed entities such as the Governor of the State of Chihuahua for his exceptional Process Simulation and Statistical Analysis, which led to a remarkable 60% reduction in processing time. Additionally, he has been honored with the Global Project Execution Excellence Award by Delphi Automotive Systems for successfully completing mission-critical projects that secured lucrative contracts for the organization. Samuel has also been invited as a speaker at the International Administration and Systems Symposium, among other notable engagements.
