Description:
Because of high volumes in radiology, one bad habit or omission in documentation can have a big impact. Missing, incomplete, or nonspecific documentation can significantly reduce a practice's revenue. Certain exams and modalities have more specific requirements that must be included in reports. Other exams may require more thorough documentation for coverage. This session will explain the basics and best practices of radiology documentation, with special attention to the most commonly missed documentation requirements across radiology practices.

Webinar Objectives:
Course participants will be able to:

  • Understand basic documentation requirements in a radiology report
  • Identify radiology exams at risk for reduced reimbursement due to documentation
  • Identify most common radiology exams at risk for non coverage due to medical necessity
